Objective of the role

This role is pivotal in ensuring the precise and timely management of client portfolios, encompassing meticulous data entry, reconciliation, and report generation. Key responsibilities include maintaining impeccable data accuracy, promptly resolving client inquiries, and collaborating with various teams to ensure seamless operational efficiency. This role requires a strong commitment to compliance, exceptional communication skills, and the capability to manage routine operational tasks with precision. Your contribution will be integral to the success of the Operations team at Waterfield, driving excellence in portfolio management and client satisfaction.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Updating client portfolios on a monthly basis in accordance with agreed timelines and quality standards.
  • Performing monthly reconciliations, generating final and precise month-end statements by aligning portfolio data with Mutual Fund/CAS/Demat statements or client-provided data within set timeframes.
  • Verifying scheme and benchmark returns in reports to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Identifying discrepancies in statements and data received, coordinating with the Service team or Relationship Manager to obtain necessary information for timely portfolio closures and deliverables.
  • Promptly addressing queries or data requirements from stakeholders, adhering to predefined guidelines and timeframes.
  • Collaborating with the Listed and Unlisted teams before updating securities like PE/VC funds, AIFs, etc., ensuring clarity and accuracy in the corresponding portfolios.
  • Providing relevant reports required by the Investments team for risk appraisals or analysis.
  • Serving as the single point of contact for all activities and tasks related to client portfolios, ensuring compliance with organizational protocols and procedural requirements.
  • Accurately updating prices of securities (BSE, NSE, MF) and benchmarks daily.
  • Promptly identifying any non-receipt of price data, price feeds, or discrepancies, and ensuring all such issues are immediately highlighted to the respective vendors on the same day to prevent inaccuracies in portfolio statements.
  • Executing all corporate actions for Mutual Funds and Equity schemes.
  • Updating all masters received from vendors following the standard process, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Running asset performance and interest accrual processes as needed.
  • Conducting thorough hygiene checks for clients and taking to closure all the required updates (RIA, Email ID, Nominee etc.) in a timely manner.

  • Understanding of client needs as well as business requirements.
  • Ability to work efficiently and intelligently, utilizing tools to enhance data accuracy and ease of access.
  • A thorough approach to data management, ensuring all work is completed with precision and accuracy.
